OXIS has developed its unique technology around sulfur-based cathode materials, highly stable electrolyte systems and an anode made of Lithium metal and intercalation materials.
OXIS is based on the Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire where the original Lithium-Ion batteries were first developed and prototyped. They have well-equipped laboratories with state of the art equipment and large dry room facilities.
OXIS has 42 patent families with 182 patents granted and 101 pending. The patents cover electrolyte systems for lithium sulfur cells, methods of lithium sulfur cell construction and also positive and negative electrodes. The patent portfolio is rapidly growing and it reflects the success of our research and development program.
