Careland International is a Chinese GPS navigation software and solutions provider.
The company began developing navigation software in 1999, becoming the first company in China with independent intellectual property rights for a navigation engine. It is one of the eight licensed navigation map providers and is also a certified national-level software enterprise.
Careland began developing a Chinese navigation map in 2000, and in 2005, it obtained a Class A qualification in Chinese geographical mapping. In 2006, Careland published the first navigable electric map covering the entire geographic area of China.
Founded in 1997, Careland received investments from SAIF partners, HSBC, and Softbank China Venture.
