Kidos is a new global learning and entertainment platform for families with children ages 3-7.
The free download allows a child to use her parent's computer as if it were her own. Kidos aims to ease parents' concerns about files being accidentally deleted, settings being changed or kids closing a browser by mistake. Because everything is stored locally a slow connection will not ruin the child's (and therefor the parent's) experience.
The secure, child-friendly and lightly animated interface lets children easily use all sorts of media: games, books, learning modules, music, video, and art. In addition to being free the download is also cross-platform (i.e., works on Mac, PC, or Linux). Parents can also add their own music, video, art, photos, and video.
Kidos then allows parents to purchase additional content via the interface directly from Kidos online store.
